Inazuma Eleven Cross vs Victory Road
Mobile sim vs console game — how they differ and how they connect.
Two Inazuma Eleven games, two very different experiences. Here's how Cross compares to Victory Road. This is an independent fan guide.
Cross: the casual mobile sim
Free-to-play mobile game (iOS/Android, Japan-only). You play as coach — no direct player control. Matches resolve from squad composition, tactics, and in-match decisions, with auto-play options. Original story starring Yō Shiosawa. Designed for quick sessions "anytime, anywhere."
Victory Road: the full console game
Available globally on PC, PlayStation 4/5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch and Switch 2. A series reboot following Dustin Billows, with action gameplay, Chronicle Mode spanning the franchise's history, and regular content updates (fifth major update June 2026).
They connect
Player data from Cross is compatible with Victory Road's sequel content — progress and teams carry across. The Japan National Team 2026 Project (Mark Evans, Jude Sharp in national kits) launched alongside Cross.
Which should you play?
Outside Japan, Victory Road is the one you can actually buy today. If Cross goes global, it's the pick-up-and-play complement. Read playing Cross outside Japan, or the game overview.
